“The Perfect Collection” by Karen Damen

When you’ve seen my instastories on my instagram account, you might have noticed that Sunday was a really exciting day for me! 😀 I was invited to Molecule to meet and interview one of my idols Karen Damen about her lingerie- and swimwear collection together with Sapph.
Molecule is a huge shopping center where you can literally find e-ve-ry-thing! Perfect for a shopping-daytrip and the perfect place to shop The Perfect Collection 😉
(this is me trying to be funny hihi 😉 )

Q: So what about that lingerie- and swimwear collection?
A:”Lingerie has to feel like you aren’t wearing anything. Of course it has to look nice, sexy and beautiful, but comfort definitely comes first. In “The Perfect Collection” I brought all of the elements that are important to me together.”

Q: What’s one of your favorite items in your collection?
A: “I adore the green slip-dress! You can wear it as lingerie, or in the summer as a dress with pumps or sneakers. Also the lace green body is something you could perfectly wear, not only as lingerie, but as a clothing item. With jeans and a blazer, like you are wearing, this is a very fancy outfit!” *
*PS: remember me wearing my lingerie-body as a clothing item together with my tutu?
What can I say… great minds think alike 😉

Q: Will there be a next collection in collaboration with Sapph, for instance a very sexy collection near the end of the year?
A: “I’m trying to make eye-contact with my manager, who is totally ignoring me at this time, but I don’t think I can say anything about that yet… Maybe, maybe not!”
After a small conversation (off-mic) and some selfies, I was offered a lingerie-set of Karen’s collection. #luckyme I chose this beautiful green with pink combination with amazing details on the back, what appears to be Karen’s favorite set as well!

If you are curious to see what else is in The Perfect Collection you can visit Molecule or Sapph online.
Thank you Molecule, Sapph, Parlez and Karen Damen for a wonderful Sunday-afternoon!

Zalando creative content icon: the new professional look

This is my entry for the Zalando Creative Content Icon Award.
I thought about what I could send in, and what reflects me and my life.
Since July I have a new job in human resources and as a girl on sneakers I’m confronted with the conservative “office clothing style”. Women in two-piece suits, dresses, tights and heels: you know what I’m talking about.
Although there is nothing wrong with that, I thought I’d take a spin on this classic professional look and give it an anno 2016 modern feeling. Curious yet? Let’s have a look!

First of all let me start with the shoes, because brogues are totally back! And as a girl living on sneakers that’s not such a bad thing 😉 For me this is the perfect alternative to match a professional look. These beauties I got from Nelson Schoenen‘s online webshop (I’ll introduce you to them next time extensively in a new blogpost) and are from the brand Gabor.

Nothing wrong with matching a statement clutch to your outfit, life isn’t meant to be boring 😉
And to be honest, when you’re going in to meetings all day you don’t need to drag along your big bag all day.
An Iphoria clutch to carry the essentials, check!

I added a hat, not because you can wear it in the office all day. But when you go out during your lunch break a hat can make sure your hair doesn’t get wet and messed up here in rainy Belgium. Or if you’re lucky and the sun is out, it protects your eyes 😉 win win! Found this one at Primark.

Now more about the clothes. I chose a black and white look because whatever year it is, black and white never go out of style. And it’s what you do with it, how you mix & match that makes an outfit powerful.
Wearing joggers to work is my new thing! Wait what… joggers?!
Oh yes, JOGGERS! These pants from Only have a more classic cut and look but have the feeling and comfort of a jogging pants. What’s not to love?

A classic white blouse from Costes and my all time favorite black blazer from Zara are a perfect match for this look.
And because of the non-traditional cut of this blazer: non centered, longer model with the look of rolled up sleeves, this is yet again a modern twist to a classic item.

Last but not least I would advise you: do not over accessorize! Nobody likes to sit next to a colleague who’s bracelets or earrings cling every time they move an inch. #sorrynotsorry
A watch on the other hand is the perfect basic accessory to wear at work and comes in handy to check if it’s almost lunchtime yet 😉 I got this Daniel Wellington beauty for my birthday, lucky me!

So there you have it, my office look! Do you like it? Would you wear this?
Let me know, I’d love to hear your thoughts!
And as from now: fingers crossed for me winning this Zalando award 😉

PS: special thanks to my blogger-bestie That girl with her blog for taking these pictures! ❤

city crush: Eindhoven

I fell in love last weekend… with Eindhoven!
Me and my blogger-bff Jolien from That Girl With Her Blog were invited to a blogger-trip to discover Eindhoven.
I visit Eindhoven a few times a year, but I only ever go to Primark (and of course afterwards Mc Donalds #guiltypleasure). So I was really excited to really get to know this city, since it’s only a one hour drive from where I live and I literally knew nothing about it.
I can honestly say: this is a city you must visit! No, not for Primark. But for so many other reasons. Starting off with the Strijp-S area, which is located next to the city center.
If you ask me Strijp-S is the place to be for trendy young people who love food, fashion, design and an all-round urban atmosphere. This upcoming area offers everything you need and so much more!

I would recommend you to stay for at least a day or two, since there’s so much to discover. The Blue Collar Hotel is located at the Strijp-S area and is the perfect starting point to go out and explore.
The hotel targets people who love the urban Strijp-S vibe, basic rooms with high ceilings and a simple yet trendy design.
img_20172They serve delicious food and drinks at the bar, and you can have breakfast with an amazing view at the top floor.

For the foodies amongst us the indoor foodmarket Vershal het Veem is definitely worth a visit. They literally have it all. From a bakery to a pastryshop, to spices, nuts, wine, Italian specialties or just a delicious cup of coffee or tea. All from local entrepeneurs who get a chance to sell their products at the foodmarket. It’s even open on Sundays!
For a very special ice cream or chocolate you go to Intelligentia ICE. The owner Björn runs this place with heart and soul and always finds a way to surprise his customers by inventing new ice cream flavors no one else would ever think of. For example: Fristi, a popular children’s drink, or baby food (yes this is actually a flavor). The chocolates are equally special! Have you ever tried a soy sauce – sesame-chili chocolate? No? well, then you should! 🙂

If you don’t want to have breakfast in your hotel or you want to have a lunch I would say go to bagel & juice. They have all sorts of yummie bagels and special fruit/vegetable juices.

If you’re looking for a beautiful restaurant with an amazing luxurious interior Wynwood is the place to go. I think they serve some good wine there too 😉Shopping time? Go and take a look at Studio Ruig. This shop looks a-ma-zing! The interior design, the monochrome colours sometimes mixed with a hint of pink… I LOVE IT!

GO in to Urban Shopper. This is a big indoor area where small businesses can rent a space and express their creativity. Furniture, home decoration, bags & jewelry,…  you can even customize your favorite pair of sneakers at Unickz!

If you decide to go into the city center, which is also a must-do I would recommend lunch at De Vooruitgang. If it wasn’t for the delicious food it would be for the amazing interior and atmosphere. Luckily they have both 😉

Up for some culture? Make sure to visit the Vanabbe Museum. This is not your ordinary (boring) museum! This is an interactive museum with contemporary art and guest exhibitions.
So many restaurants in the city center that I’m sure are worth a visit, but if I can choose I would take you to Usine. This location is just amazing! And there’s even a little pastry shop inside! You can take a pastry with you and have dessert at your hotel room 😉 Otherwise I would recommend to have the tiramisu!

I had an amazing time and I’m going back for sure, since there’s even more to discover besides all the above.
Must say I was lucky to be invited to this trip,we  had the best guide or “guidefriendpartner” (inside joke 😉 ) and an amazing group of fellow bloggers. Thank you Eindhoven365 for this experience!

Try-Out-Fit by SKM

in September I was invited to a new blogger-event at my favorite multi brand store SKM.
As you might know, since our last event there I started working at SKM occasionally to help people pick their very own new favorite outfit. But this September SKM came up with a new an innovative concept “Try-Out-Fit“.
Processed with VSCO with hb2 preset
But what does this mean? Well, you can go online to www.skm.be/tryoutfit and get your online styling.
How does it work? You select your style, your favorite brands and fill in your sizes.
Once SKM receives your request one of the SKM Shop Assistants goes into the store and finds you 2 outfits per chosen style. These outfits will be waiting for you in store at the date and time of your choice. Of course the assistants are always there to help you if you need another size, or if you want to change something in your styling,… And you don’t have any purchase obligation! This service is free and you don’t have to buy anything if you don’t want to!
So they selected an outfit for me, similar to what I’m wearing in my pictures. I’m a blogger and I always want to do my own thing 😉 so I changed it a little bit, but to be honest it’s exactly the style they laid out for me.

I really love this casual outfit, it fits perfectly with this urban location at Strijp-S in Eindhoven.
What I’m wearing?
T shirt – Supertrash (SKM) | Blazer – Zara | Jeans – Vero Moda (SKM)
Bag- Even & Odd (Zalando) | Sneakers – Primark | Watch – Oozoo (Brandfield)

Special thanks to Jolien for taking these pictures!
Would you try out a concept like this?

Teacups & Dresses party

Yesterday I went to the Teacups & Dresses new collection and perfume release party.
An Katrien Casselmans, well known for being on the tv-show “Pink Ambition, isn’t a blonde barbie airhead.
This teacher, businesswoman, blogger and designer knows what she does and she does it well!
Maintaining a down to earth mentality makes her even more sweet.
How amazing did she look?!
Make sure to check out her blog and webshop on:

Off course my blogger-BFF Jolien was there with me!
Did you see this awesome long mint tutu skirt I was wearing?!
It’s another beauty from the ByCharmy tutu collection.
My friend and bosslady Charmy James attended the event as well wearing one of her beautiful pink tutu’s.
More about the Teacups & Dresses collection on the blog SOON!

The ritual of karma

Hi everyone! About 2 weeks ago I was invited to the launch of the new Rituals summer limited edition collection “The Ritual of karma”.
“According to ancient Hindu belief, living with good intent attracts positive karma. Say good words; think good thoughts; do good deeds and good will come your way.” – Rituals

We were invited to the rooftop-terras of Coffeelabs (Antwerp) which was transformed into an oasis of peace and serenity. I don’t think I’ve ever been to an event that had such a good atmosphere!

There where massages, you could get your make-up done and get a fake tattoo, there was a palm reader and amazing food and drinks! Of course we also got to discover The Ritual of good karma, which is by far my favorite limited edition by Rituals so far!
These products are based on Holy Lotus and Bergamot and have an amazing yet gentle scent.

In this collection you find a body scrub, shower foam, shower oil, shimmer body cream, bed & body mist and of course a scented candle and the famous fragrance sticks. In my goodiebag I found the body scrub, body cream, shower foam and shower oil to try out, lucky me! 🙂
Practice the art of good karma in four steps according to Rituals:

Step 1: Body scrub | Step 2: Shower foam

Step 3: Body cream | Step 4: Bed & Body mist

My personal favorites are: the shower foam because it’s so foamy! I love the foamy texture, makes me feel like I have my own personal spa at home when I take a shower 😉 And the shimmer body cream! It’s not greasy, it helps you hold on to the amazing good karma-scent during the day and makes your skin glow very subtle, love it!

Are you going to try out any of these products? Or have you already? Let me know what you think! 🙂

Thanks Rituals and UPR for this amazing evening and gifts!
